About Us

How It Began

We, the founders of GapApp Solutions, have grown up in family businesses over the years in different industries (e.g. retail, restaurants, and manufacturing). Today we make it our business to help other businesses. We are qualified computer system engineers and have extensive experience of how to bring things together and make them work in the simplest ways possible.With our extensive business and systems knowledge we are extremely valuable to any and every business owner out there.

We quietly confident, naturally curious, and perpetually working on improving our skills one design problem at a time.We have worked on a multitude of website and web app projects for a range of clients providing Web Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Development (PHP, HTML, CSS, LESS, JS, jQuery, WordPress, WooCommerce, Bootstrap, Responsive Layouts), eCommerce Solutions, Corporate Branding and Graphic Design. During our degrees we studied Information Architecture, and therefore have a keen understanding of wireframes, sitemaps and user experience design which we put to good use on every project we work on.

Our Process

01 - Design

The design process starts page layouts, wire-frames, sitemaps and menu structures. Digital design concepts are then created incorporating your company’s brand guidelines for a personalised look and feel. You will be presented with a variety of website design concepts to review. Feedback on the design concepts is essential to give you the opportunity to express your thoughts on the design and make alterations.

02 - Development

Once the design has been finalised. The website development process starts by taking the graphical elements (colours, fonts, layout, images) defined in the design process and coding them using web industry standards (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JS, jQuery). This is typically done by first coding the home page, followed by templates for the interior pages.

03 - Deployment

When the both design and development are finalised.Customer will be supplied with login details to view the website application before it is launched to the public. You will also be supplied with instructions on how to update your website application.
